What drew me to the boat was the quality of the build and Sam's unshakable commitment to beauty and function, but what has kept me delighted with my choice is his ongoing support as I learnt to live aboard having never done so before.
I purchased the boat at the beginning of the fit out so we worked together to determine the design specifications. Sam listened deeply to my opinions and we each learned to trust the other's intuition. I would buy another boat from him in a heartbeat! I wish all my working relationships were this easy.
Above all, Sam prises quality, quality of components, quality of finish and quality of relationship, that's why buying one of his boats can never be a mistake because there will be no nasty surprises.

Having rented a boat for 9 months Sue and I were fortunate to purchase Comet in 2020 which became our home for 3 years. A superbly crafted boat, finished to a very high spec using eco and reclaimed materials. Mostly used for continuous cruising it was a lovely home. Despite space being a premium the design ensured a feeling of space so hard to envisage in Narrowboat. The gravitational heating system from the back boiler was a big plus as well as having a compact gas fired boiler hidden away out of sight.
The spacious shower was also a real plus. We would not hesitate to buy of innovative eco homes again if we had the opportunity.
Our only reason to sell this great boat was a need long term for extra space. We miss her!!

Sam designed and fitted out my new build 50foot narrow boat in 2018. The well thought out design is aesthetically pleasing and makes the most of the available space with plentiful storage solutions, which as a live aboard is a necessity. Beyond this, I have the assurance that all materials used in the build were ethically sourced and are made to last with the skills of a master craftsman. Sam is a delight to work with and really went the extra mile to work with me to create the floating home of my dreams.
